About The Program

This program is specifically designed for individuals who are within the community looking for support services to enhance and develop their life skills and independence.

Participants must be registered with NRRS and live at home with their family.

Individuals taking part in the program must be able to complete standard ADL’s without assistance. If 1-1 support is required arrangements must be made with the Program Facilitator prior to.

Gentle Reminder: Individuals who are a part of a group or community organization receiving full-time support do not qualify for the program

 

How & When to apply

Our Inclusion Facilitator would be happy to set up a meeting, walk through an outline of what our current program offerings look like and answer any questions you may have in regard to the program.

Our program schedule is released the 15th of every month for the upcoming month.

Billing is sent the last Monday of the month and receipts are provided.

Each week is full of new memories and new possibilities to create!

 

Membership Fee

Membership fees are paid monthly and fall in line with our program sliding scale. We also offer additional inclusive once a month trips at an additional fee.

Payments can be made in person via cash or e-transfer to: finance@hcrsweb.ca with the description being the person registered.

 

Registration

All participants must complete a new application and registration form before July 1st of each year. This ensures that all information is up to date and emergency information is provided.

At NRRS services we are committed to small and inclusive ratios. That is why our Inclusion Program is a 1 – 4 ratio for staffing, safety, and transportation purposes.

Social Connect is designed and have staffing provided to support diverse abilities. If additional support is required, NRRS staff, the participant and caregivers will explore what support options are available in order to enable full program participation.

At Northern Region Respite Services we strive to provide inclusive and accessible programs, supports, and services to families and individuals caring for persons diagnosed with diverse abilities.

Our Programs

HCRS Summer Rec Program

Our Summer Recreation Program generally begins July 1st and will run approximately 7 weeks, Monday to Friday, during the months of July and August.

At NRRS we currently offer two different no-fee programs or activities for your child or family to be involved in. They range from monthly to quarterly activities.
